After Kensington Palace, we went to Shakespeare's Globe. Check here for more information - http://www.shakespearesglobe.com.
Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan playhouse in the London Borough of Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames that was originally built in 1599, destroyed by fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614, and then demolished in 1644. The modern reconstruction is an academic approximation based on available evidence of the 1599 and 1614 buildings. It was founded by the actor and director Sam Wanamaker and built about 230 metres (750 ft) from the site of the original theatre and opened to the public in 1997, with a production of Henry V. The site also includes the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, an indoor theatre which opened in January 2014. This is a reconstruction of the Blackfriars Theatre, another Elizabethan theatre. I love how Shakespeare's Globe looks like.
What I have studied for Literature.
This was the place where people can watch plays in the past. Can't remember if it was in this theatre though.
Do you see the nice chairs? The areas with the nice chairs are ''rooms'' for the rich people last time. They are nearer to the stage.
After Shakespeare's Globe, Jerica wanted to go shopping at Covent Garden area. Bought food there.
Actually, this makes the end of my Brighton/London trip. After we went back to Brighton, it was work as usual (so no point blogging about it) and we went to a sales conference before returning to Singapore. We did have some fun team building activities in the sales conference but maybe I will just not blog about it.
