Review - Smooch

Okie, I decided to be more positive and forward looking. No point being so negative all the time right? Oh well. I have plenty of things to blog about!! First of all, let me rant about Smooch. Remember this post - http://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/01/online-shopping.html? I wanted to get this dress for Chinese New Year but my dress never came. After Robin ordered it and made the payment online, Smooch sent him an email a few days later saying that the dress is out of stock. WTH lah~!! I was so disappointed with Smooch. Ordered a black dress from them previously and it was quite nice. But now,  I will just blacklist them for now.

Singapore's Weather

After the crazy raining period during Chinese New Year, the weather now is extremely HOT. Really!! So we must really drink more water everyday and stay indoors. Ah yoh. Even 2 fans are not enough for me.

I want to update my blog but I didn't. I don't know what I want to do. I think I am getting more and more anti-social. I didn't mean to but.. Haiz~ 一切尽在不言中。I don't know how to explain also.

Shaw Cinema Bugis

Hi all. I've got something to rant about Shaw again. This time round, it's at Shaw Cinema Bugis. Went to watch a movie there with Robin. The rules there are pretty stupid. No bringing in of outside food and drinks - even for plain water. And we got some stuff from Cold Storage which we don't intend to eat/cannot eat in the cinema theatre anyway but also cannot bring in. What the hell?!?! Never experience this from Cathay or Golden Village.

Rain

I am so sick and tired of the rain so can just stop raining? Seems like it has been raining practically everyday recently.

Happy Chinese New Year 2013

We will be ushering in the snake year in a few hours time. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my readers for their support over the years as I have hit more than 100,000 page views recently. That's a very good achievement for me =)

I would also like to wish all my readers and myself a very prosperous year of the snake and may all of us have good health, wealth and lots of happiness in the new year. Huat huat huat ah~!!

Review - Delicious at Scotts Square

Delicious at Scotts Square is Malaysia's E&O Group's first establishment in Singapore. The menu features a mixture of Asian and Western fare that includes Nasi Kerabu, Ayam Pencik, Duck Confit Spaghettini with Sundried Tomatoes and Coriander, Thai Beef Salad and various desserts.

Tried out the place with Diana one day. I find the food there so-so but the ambience is great. Can go there to drink tea and chit-chat. There are some discounts for DBS/POSB and UOB cardholders so do go and check it out.

The menu.

Discounts.

Cute teapot.

Rant

Just a super quick rant. My handphone has been having some problems. Keeps hanging for no reason. Have to restart it but sometimes I can't even restart it. Need to change a new handphone. My contract will be up in May but if I recontract, my data plan will not be 12GB. It will be 2GB. Actually, 2GB is enough for me but lately, I have been sharing my handphone data plan with my home computer as my home Internet keeps hanging. Argh!!

How?

3rd Year Anniversary - Part 2

We went to the OCBC Skyway after our ice-cream. It was my first time going up the Skyway. There was a long queue for the tickets. Now you guys can buy the tickets online first to avoid the queue.

 Our tickets.

 See the long queue?

The scenery up the Skyway is really fabulous.

Can see a lot of people queuing below. It felt quite scary looking down from the Skyway.

A nice place to have picnics and get immersed with nature.

We spent about 15 minutes at the OCBC Skyway. After that, we just picked a restaurant at random to have our dinner. I'm so glad that we picked Casa Verde. I love the Hawaiian pizza there. It is really mouthwatering. My seafood spaghetti is delectable too.

 Cute plant. It is real.

My seafood spaghetti. A lot of ingredients!

 Robin's Hawaiian pizza. Very tasty.

After our dinner, we went out and saw the night scenery. We also experienced the OCBC Garden Rhapsody. Combining music, lasers, projection media and light artistry, the specially commissioned show will delight visitors at 7:45pm and 8:45pm each evening at the Supertree Grove.

Marina Bay Sands at night.

3rd Year Anniversary - Part 1

Robin and I celebrated our 3rd Year Anniversary on 9 December 2012. How time flies. We are together for more than 3 years now. To be honest, I have never expected us to last this long. I am still grateful to God for having him in my life and he has indeed doted me a lot throughout these years =)

We wanted to celebrate our Anniversary together by going to the Singapore Zoo and see the pandas. That was quite a popular attraction in December. However, the tickets were sold out by the time we arrived at the Zoo and one cannot buy the tickets in advance for another day. What a weird policy but never mind. Shall go and see the pandas when the River Safari opens in March 2013.

Since we did not manage to buy tickets to the panda enclosure, we went to Gardens by the Bay since Robin hasn't been there before. If you guys are keen, here's my blog entries on my visit to Gardens by the Bay previously: http://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/01/gardens-by-bay.htmlhttp://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/01/gardens-by-bay-part-2.htmlhttp://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/01/gardens-by-bay-part-3.html.

Lunch at Wang Cafe at Choa Chu Kang.

 Happy 3 Years together =)

 Flowers for me =)

 The Singapore Zoo.

As I have mentioned above, we left the Zoo and headed for Gardens by the Bay when the pandas enclosure tickets were sold out. Sometimes, it's really fun to do touristy thing. Like being a tourist in Singapore - Go to tourist attractions and stay in hotels in Singapore. Quite cool actually.

Gigantic Christmas tree at Marina Bay Sands.

To get to Gardens by the Bay, you can walk across a bridge from Marina Bay Sands (just ask any of the staff there for directions) or walk through the underpass from Bayfront Station (circle line).

We went to one of these places for dinner. Can guess which one? Haha.

Cute mushroom stools. A little like the mushrooms in Super Mario. There are a lot of places to sit in Gardens by the Bay so there's no need to worry about getting tired from walking.

We got the Cloud Forest tickets first. We did not go to Flower Dome on that day. Those interested, can read here for more info: http://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/01/gardens-by-bay-part-2.html

I still adore this waterfall a lot. Very magnificent right?

 Such a brilliant colour.

 Grr~!!

Once we exited Cloud Forest, we arrived at the souvenir shop. I bought Robin a magnet there. After we exited the souvenir shop, we bought ice-cream. A must have/must buy if you ever go there. It is really nice. I'm not kidding you.

Two scoops of ice-cream - Cookies and Cream and Chocolate flavours.

 Why this face? Lolx~
