Spanning 101 hectares, Gardens by the Bay houses over 250 thousand rare plants and is just a 5 minute walk from Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The Gardens comprises three spaces—Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. From the waterfront promenade, enjoy an amazing view of the Marina Bay financial district skyline. The grounds are perfect for an evening stroll and a picnic with loved ones.
Access to the Outdoor Gardens in Bay South is free. However, there is an admission charge if you want to visit the two Cooled Conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) and the OCBC Skyway. More info can be found here: http://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg/en/plan-your-visit/visitor-information.html#hour-admission.
You can choose to walk around and explore the huge garden or take the Garden Cruiser (must pay though), which is a buggy ride around the garden and will bring you to the cooled conservatories entrance.

On the way to Gardens by the Bay.
Zi pai on the Garden Cruiser. Do take note of the operating hours as they stop the service at 4pm on weekends and public holidays and 5pm on weekdays. We almost couldn't get on the Garden Cruiser as we went there at around 3:55pm.
The photo is clearer in the original size and on my computer. Really! However, the original size is too big to put here. I find the 520 by 390 size perfect for my blog. Then it looks blur here. Argh!!
Long queue to get the tickets to the Cooled Conservatories.
Tickets. There's a local resident price so do bring along your NRIC/employment passes/work permit/dependent passes if you intend to go in. There's also a 10% discount for passion card holders so do bring along your passion card too.
Entrance to one of the cooled conservatories - Flower Dome.
Next up: Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
