Results of the Presidential Election 2011

The results of the Presidential Election 2011 are:-

YearName of CandidatesValid Votes Polled (local)Valid Votes Polled (%) (local)
2011 (2,274,773)Tan Cheng Bock737,12834.85
Tan Jee Say529,73225.04
Tony Tan Keng Yam744,39735.19
Tan Kin Lian103,9314.91

Don't know what to say about the results but I feel that it's so unfair that Tan Kin Lian got to forfeit his deposit. Like so poor thing! Why is there a need to put any deposit in the first place?

I can't stand it when random people just come and talk to me. Of course the polite thing is just to reply them back but hello?!?! Why should I entertain u all? When I'm already so tired I just wanna rest!
Hello Nuffnangers!

We LOVE blogging and reading blogs for various reasons.

Perhaps it is to get reviews on restaurants, cosmetics or the latest tech gadgets or keeping ourselves updated on the blogger’s personal lives (read: kaypoh *We are all guilty of it. It’s alright and perfectly normal right, right? /flips hair).

These blogs we read (or stalk), there’s something about them that draws us back to find out more and might even inspire us to blog about certain topics. Now, wouldn’t it be great if we could share these inspirations with everyone? That’s the idea behind Blog Day!

Blog Day was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest, and…

Nuffnang is proud to be celebrating the 6th Blog Day on 31st August 2011!

(hint: the date is the reason why Blog Day is called Blog day)

On Blog Day, bloggers will post a recommendation of 6 new blogs, and this way, everyone will find themselves discovering new, previously unknown blogs thanks to the viral effect of social media. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Here’s how you can be a part of Blog Day 2011:

Spot 6 new blogs that interest you the most, preferably blogs which are different from your own culture, point of view and attitude.
Share with us why you have recommended those 6 blogs – are they funny? Do they tell unusual stories? Maybe the photos are out of this world?
Publish a blog post about your 6 recommendations.
Submit the permalink of your blog post about your recommendations (i) as a comment on this blog post OR (ii) by the form below this blog post, by 11.59 pm, 31 August 2011.

The best part about Blog Day? You get rewarded if your recommendations get us raving over new awesome blogs! The Nuffnanger with the best recommendations will be our Featured Blogger of the Month for the month of October. Yes, you read that right! We’ll announce the results on 2 Sep!

The deadline for submissions is 11.59pm, 31 August 2011, so hurry, go out, discover blogs and start commenting now! Happy Blog Day to all! :)

*Nuffnang will be announcing the winner on 2 Sept 2011.

Presidential Election 2011

This year is an exciting year for politics in Singapore. Besides the last General Election earlier on, the Presidential Election will be on tomorrow!

I will no idea who to vote for. Am listening to their speeches now. While listening to the speeches (now is Dr Tony Tan's speech, the way he speaks is really boring leh =.=), I am also googling about them. Ah yah,  I give you all the relevant link, you all go and read about it yourselves lah. So lazy to copy and paste =/

Tan Kin Lian - http://tkl2011.com/
Tony Tan - http://www.tonytan.sg/?gclid=CO3fw62o7aoCFcQa6wodyVphNg
Tan Cheng Bock - http://www.tanchengbock.org/
Tan Jee Say - http://www.tanjeesay.com/blog/

Ah yoh. I just want a President who really cares about the citizens. Someone who can put Singaporeans/Singapore's interest at the top. Someone who can help to improve our lives and give us more jobs (instead to the PRs/foreigners).

So any suggestion?

PS: How come all the potential presidents' surnames are Tan? Hee~ So coincidental!
I have just received the below email from Google:

Hello,

After reviewing our records, we've determined that your AdSense account
poses a risk of generating invalid activity. Because we have a
responsibility to protect our AdWords advertisers from inflated costs due
to invalid activity, we've found it necessary to disable your AdSense
account. Your outstanding balance and Google's share of the revenue will
both be fully refunded back to the affected advertisers.

Please understand that we need to take such steps to maintain the
effectiveness of Google's advertising system, particularly the
advertiser-publisher relationship. We understand the inconvenience that
this may cause you, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and
cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the actions we've taken, how
you can appeal this decision, or invalid activity in general, you can find
more information by visiting
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Okie, whatever. I'm not really earning a lot of money on it anyway. But the thing is, I saw in their Google Help Forum that a lot of people also encounter the same issue and their adsense accounts never got reinstated back despite appealing for it. Now, I really wonder.. Is the sentence in bold true? Do they really return the revenue back to their adwords advertisers or just eat up the money?
