Taiwan Trip Part 8

Last part of my Taiwan trip. Aww~ I am missing Taiwan now. By the way, I saw this couple who were on our tour group for our Korea trip (http://www.coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/03/korea-trip-part-1.html) while having breakfast in Aqua Bella. So coincidental! They were going to stay in City Inn Hotel Plus Ximending Branch after Aqua Bella. 跟我们相反。

Explored a little around Beitou before heading back to the hotel to pack our luggages and check out afterwards. Went to return our Easy Card at Beitou MRT station and got the remaining value refunded to us in cash. Beitou MRT station looks very unique. Don't know why I can't find the photo now. Maybe I forgot to take a photo of it? Oh well. Please go and google it then.

 Bought a drink from Starbucks. 

Oh yeah. The hotel staff called a cab for us to bring us to Taoyuan International Airport. The cab fare cost TWD1,200. The cab driver didn't turn on the meter. He said that it's a fixed price if we want to go to the airport. Not sure how true but since we were in a hurry, we took it. That's the most expensive cab fare I have ever paid. It was about SGD50 plus. Gee.

After Robin and I have checked in our luggages, we had lunch in the airport food court .

 I was not that hungry so just had spicy fried chicken.

 Some stuff from Taiwan. Forgot to take a photo of the mochi which I bought for my colleagues.

My Mum had a birthday cake for me when I returned. Yay!

Taiwan Trip Part 7

After the trip to the Taipei Zoo, we went back to our hotel to take our luggages and then took a cab to Beitou. I think that the cab fare cost TWD300 plus.

It doesn't look that nice from outside.

We got a free upgrade to Grace Room.

Love the huge, nice and comfy bed!

Spacious room.

There is a large bath tub in the bathroom. Can turn on the tap and there will be hot spring water flowing in. The bathtub seemed clean. Had a good hot spring bath that day. Shiok!

I really love the hotel room. Clean and spacious.

Headed out for dinner nearby.

This is really good. I forgot what it was though =.=

Went back to the hotel room at night and a staff delivered yummy tang yuan to our room. Really very soft and nice.

Taiwan Trip Part 6

It's photo time!! I don't know how to pick which photos to include so I just include everything.

Guess where did we go that day?

 To the Taipei Zoo! Haha~ Can take the MRT there.

It was a rather cold day but it was not raining. Finally! Happy =)

Only TWD60 per adult ticket. Cheap!

By the way, don't go to the Taipei Zoo on a Monday. Robin and I went on a Monday and the Maokong Gondola was closed for maintenance. Anyway, for more information, please read here - http://english.taipei.gov.tw/ct.asp?xItem=41683759&ctNode=36810&mp=100002.

It is a nice place to sit down, have some food and drinks. I like the atmosphere and interior design but the food and drink I have tried are so-so.

Need to pay for the tram but it is really cheap. TWD5 only. By the way, they only accept exact change. Can pay by your Easy Card though. Just tap and go in!

I saw this little girl dressed in a panda costume. So cute!
