Real Love is all about... unconditional love. So you might ask.. what is unconditional love then? We think about it, hope for it, fantasize about it, go to great lengths to achieve it, and feel that our lives are incomplete without it. For me, I think that real love aka unconditional love is caring about the happiness of another person without any thought for what we might get for ourselves. Is to give without asking/hoping for anything in return. However, sometimes, I really feel that this thinking is so ideal. Too ideal perhaps. Because we all have expectations. Expectations for ourselves, expectations of the kind of life we want and expectations towards our love ones, etc.
Although Robin and I have our ups and downs, I feel that he does love me a lot. I am not sure if it is unconditional love but it is almost there. However, I think that I have difficulty to contain my expectations. Sometimes when we give, we automatically expect something back in return. I shall need to work on that.
Let me recall a memorable moment in my love life. One such moment is on the 9 December 2009 (9/12/09). That was the day Robin asked me officially to be his girlfriend and I have accepted it.
We met in the afternoon at Suntec to try the Singapore Duck Tours. It was our first time taking that ride. Felt like tourists in our homeland. Haha~ Quite cool.
Some photos of us:
It started drizzling a little halfway through the ride. What a bumper! Lucky the rain stopped soon after. Anyway, we had a good time taking the ride, seeing Singapore's scenery, listen to the guide and chatting with each other.
After the ride, we went for dinner at One Rochester near Buona Vista area. We had some difficulty finding the place. Was a little cross with Robin as I have to walk here and there in my heels to find the place. Walked until hungry!!
We were so glad when we finally found the place =) The place was nice and romantic. I felt happier after taking in some food and rest my feet. The food was not bad also.
Robin asked me to be his girlfriend after dinner and I have agreed. That marked the start of our love journey.
